NENSA Coaches

NENSA's Coaching Education Philosphy

There are many resources available to coaches and athletes looking for guidance in planning. Training plans from all over the world have been published and distributed. All emphasize the importance of consistency, and per iodization in planning. All are valuable resources, and can lead to good results under the right circumstances. However, there are many factors involved in the development of a ski racer, and many of these factors vary from individual to individual. No single plan will work optimally for everybody, or is even likely to work similarly for two different individuals. The development of an effective training plan is a process that requires an understanding of as many factors as can be identified. The NENSA education curriculum offers coaches an opportunity to expand their knowledge and develop tools to improve their coaching skills.
