XC skier Morgan Arritola wins US Women's Mountain Running Trials In NH

Summary:

Several New England cross country skiers also participated in the event, inlcuding USST Olympian Kris Freeman.

Held at Loon Mountain, NH. (Arritola) Leads team of four to Italy in September. Super cool uphill cross country course, complete with rolling terrain, fast downhills, loose gravel and soft grass(even strawberries) and a final pitch that challenged the quads of every competitor.

Eli Enman's wife, Casey Enman, the reigning world champ finishes 5th.

Jessica Snyder, a former racer from Rochester, NY and NENSA athlete ran the first few miles in the lead pack which took out the first mile in 6:50, in a five mile uphill race that bested 3000 feet of climb.

Corrine Malcolm has strong race, representing USBA, and the youngest competitor in the Elite Women field of 25.

Kris Freeman finishes 2nd for the Open Men's race.

Bowdoin College coach, Nathan Alsbrook also competed in the Open field.
