NENSA Eastern REG camp rolls along

Posted by: Janice Sibilia

Summary:

REG camp has been rolling along with momentum, enthusiasm and tons of energy!

Yesterday the REG athletes had an opportunity to do a classic DP with the GRP men and women. They took full advantage of it by skiing behind the fastest skiers to mimic their movements and turnover. After the roll, Bryan Fish, USST gave a run through of some classic exercises to improve weight shift and body position.

In the afternoon a recovery run was on the schedule and everyone had a chance to check out the freshly mowed trails at Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The J2 REG campers arrived yesterday for their first day of camp and jumped in with a classic roller ski.

Today was the challenging Elmore uphill running time trial. Close to 70 athletes took part including the entire GRP team, REG, J2 REG and GMVS athletes who are in the midst of their own junior camp! Results and photo's will be posted shortly.

Right now a group of the REG athletes are helping out with Olympic Day, also taking place at Hosmer Point. Tonight will be time to relax with indoor game night!
