Skiing in Japan

Summary:

Gunstock Nordic's John Henry Paluszek and his family have relocated to Japan. Read about some of his skiing adventures here. Thanks for keeping in touch!

From John Henry:

"Last Saturday Gunstock Nordic’s David and John Henry Paluszek went Nordic skiing in japan. They took a Nordic ski trip to the Hakuba ski resort. It was snowing all day. It made a fluffy two inches on top of the groomed trails. I know that the New England season is not going so well, but in Japan there is so much snow the safety railings on the ski bridges don’t work because the snow is so high. Even though there was fresh snow on the ground we still managed to ski about 24 kilometers on 5k and 3k loops. While we were there we saw the Hakuba junior ski team at practice. It was a six hour bus ride to get to the snow from where we are on the east coast of Japan in snowless Yokosuka, but once we got there the snow was plentiful. Go Nordic!"
