NENSA Trapp Invitational Rollerski Race
November 3, 2018 @ 2:00 pm
On November 3rd, the 2nd running of the NENSA Trapp Invitational will be hosted at the Trapp Family Lodge, the home of the 2019 NCAA National Championships. Last year’s race drew an amazing field of athletes primarily from NENSA Elite and Development teams — including several 2018 Olympians, many Junior National Champions and a World Junior Championship medalist. The 2019 event will follow a similar invitational format – with the addition of skiers from eastern collegiate programs. Skiers with US Ski & Snowboard distance points less than: 175 women and 150 men please enquire here about participation. Registration and further details coming soon.
The event is designed to celebrate the strength of American cross country skiers and offer a high level competition as final preparation for the 2019 ski season. The Trapp Invitational highlights successful athletes across age ranges, inspiring those in attendance, while displaying the talent of New England skiers to a broader audience. We aim to showcase our sport with national and international exposure.
Athletes will be seeded using USSA (or FIS) points. Final start list will be posted to www.nensa.net on November 1. Classic 10km Individual Start at :30 second intervals. The ten lowest point male and female skiers in the race with use the NENSA Swenor Alutech matched ski set – racers will receive the skis 30 minutes before the start. All other skiers will use their own “training/medium/#2” speed roller skis. Helmets are required.
