Carrabassett Valley, Maine - It's not too late!!! Snow conditions may be tough in other parts of New England, but the skiing is great in the Sugarloaf region.  Consider a trip this Sunday to the Maine Huts and Trail point-to-point 40 and 20K tour and race.

2010-02-05: TD Bank Eastern Cup combined with UVM Winter Carnival Cross Country Races to create a fantastic weekend in Stowe, Vermont

Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT—The TD Bank Eastern Cup Series arrives this weekend for two races at Trapp Touring Center.  The center has been blessed with good snow despite a challenging winter in parts of New England and the snow cover has been enhanced with their expansive snowmaking system. 

Update:  Noon Friday... a few photos to whet your appetite added. Toko wax recommendations and seed lists now posted to Sibilia's Scoop, the Virtual Team Captain's Meeting.  A total of 455 pre-registered athletes per day -- please be sure to read all pre-race information to help the event run smoothly!

Be sure to have great skis for the weekend... Toko's recommendation was the choice of the day for a huge number of the top finishers at the TD Bank Rumford Eastern Cups...  Recommendations include the TD Bank Eastern Cups, the Prospect Olympics, and the Lake Placid Loppet.

Although Pinelands is closed for skiing, the Close to the Coast freestyle race (TD Bank Citizen Series) is looking at alternative venues as we will make every effort to have this race! Chittenden, VT - The annual paintball biathlon this year had to be expanded to two days because of overwhelming registration numbers.  High school athletes and adults raced on Saturday with the Bill Koch League event on Sunday.

2010-02-02: Jon Sassi Memorial Report, Photos, and Results
Skiers in grades 12 and under from across the State of Maine come together every year at the end of January in one great event with a course and venue prepared to a national level. Hosted by the Chisholm Ski Club (one of the nation's oldest and most active ski clubs), at Black Mountain of Maine, this is the premier event of the State of Maine high school racing season and a great preparation for the State Nordic meet. In addition, the Sassi Memorial serves as qualifier for the State of Maine J2 team, selected based on the top 20 male and female J2 finishers.

Craftsbury, VT -- It was cold for the start of this morning's TD Bank Craftsbury Marathon.  Most athletes covered their faces, wore mittens instead of gloves, and added an extra layer under their spandex racing suits.(updated 1/31 with complete results by age group.)
