TD Banknorth SuperTour / UVM Carnival / Eastern Cup Concludes
Posted by: Pat CoteSummary:
Coaches and athletes were confronted with a little bit of everything today. Some overnight rain, then snow and wind, and plummeting temperatures. In the end, there was some great racing out of the trails. Kristina Strandberg making it three victories in three races for the New England swing of the SuperTours and James Southam earning his second victory in a row.

Stowe, VT --- Coaches and athletes were confronted with a little bit of everything today. Some overnight rain, then snow and wind, and plummeting temperatures. In the end, there was some great racing out of the trails. Kristina Strandberg making it three victories in three races for the New England swing of the SuperTours and James Southam earning his second victory in a row.
For the second day in a row Lars Flora earned 2nd place in the men's race, followed by UVM's Jeurgen Uhl, the top classic-technique skier on the eastern collegiate circuit. On the women's side, it was an impressive day for the eastern colleges as UVM's Caitlin Patterson placed 2nd, following up on her great race yesterday. Colby's Lucy Garrec was third, and Dartmouth's Ida Sargent 4th.
Thanks to the volunteers and Trapp Family Lodge for doing battle with the weather today and putting forth a fantastic event. And thank you to the athletes for being part of this SuperTour weekend.
