Subject: Western State College coaching position
Hi All,

My Alma Mater, Western State College, in Gunnison, Colorado, is searching for a Nordic ski coach.  The salary will be $21,000  with benefits, starting around Aug.1.  The program will need some rebuilding as several skiers left due to coaching uncertainties.  The future is a bit uncertain, but Western has a strong skiing Alumni and a strong skiing heritage.  I think that the idea is to fund an endowment  through alumni support to keep the program going.  It is a great little school, and a wonderful place to live, lots of outdoor activities!  Many of my former high school skiers have attended  Western State College and totally fallen in love with the school and the environment.  The school also provided them a chance to continue to compete in cross country ski racing, with many of them qualifying to ski at NCAA's.  I feel that this could be a great opportunity for an energetic coach to engage in an opportunity to refocus this ski program!  Anyway, contact person at WSC is Jack Harbottle (970-943-2240) jharbottle@western.edu

Please help our search by passing this along to interested parties.
